Dear service providers,

Both Paula and I would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves to you all; we set up the because we both saw a gap between individuals and families impacted by substance misuse. ; The Link Foundation AOD is a charity founded by Paula and Renee dedicated to positively impacting the alcohol and other drug sectors. We support individuals and families facing substance misuse challenges, providing evidence-based therapies and services to empower them. Through education, research, and collaboration, we continually enhance our offerings, benefiting individuals within your community.

Although Paula and Renee are based in Sydney, our services extend throughout NSW. We offer a 24-hour support line for brief interventions, ensuring assistance is available statewide. As a new charity, we aim to expand our presence by placing counsellors in various locations across NSW. We are actively contacting local areas to offer our services and support to your community.

VISION

"Our vision is to connect families and individuals impacted by substance misuse to create a community of support, empathy and recovery.

MISSION

“Our goals and objectives at The Link Foundation AOD reflect our commitment to providing comprehensive support and care to individuals and families impacted by substance use. We aim to deliver evidence-based therapies and services that empower individuals to achieve their full potential while advocating for change and reform in the substance use and mental health sectors. Our focus on education, research, and collaboration enables us to continuously improve our services and positively impact the lives of those we serve.

METHOD

Our program will benefit the community by providing families and individuals with the support and resources to navigate the challenges of supporting their recovery. We aim to improve the mental health and well-being of family members impacted by substance use by providing counselling, group support and education workshops.

By advocating for the needs of families impacted by substance use, we hope to raise awareness of the impact of substance use on families, individuals and communities and to promote policies and programs that support recovery and prevention efforts.

Our program will create a more supportive and inclusive community that values all its members' health and well-being. Accredited counsellors who specialise in substance use and family therapy will provide our counselling services. We will offer individual counselling sessions for family members and individuals to assist in developing coping skills, communication skills, and self-care strategies to manage their well-being. Our services will also include developing a well-being plan for individuals and family members to work together towards a common goal for recovery.
